No, she’ll lie and claim that she “doesn’t remember”, a la Hilary, when the questioning gets too tough for her; i.e. when was this party, how did she get home, why didn’t she ever tell anyone until 2012, why were she and her husband in therapy in 2012, why did she scrub all of her on line stuff, HOW, exactly, has it “ruined” her life, when she married, has 4 children, many college degrees, a job, etc.!
She could have gone to a psychiatrist to start a paper trail long ago. None of the classmates heard of any of this.
Also, it would be interesting to know more about her as a Professor.
The dichotomy will be perfect to run on, once Judge Kavanaugh proves, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that he wasn’t and couldn’t be at this party then the dems will have to explain why they still support even a hearing for Ellison. For two months the GOP can hit the dems on Ellison. It really is backfiring nicely.
The smart thing for republicans to do is to say the believe something obviously happened to this woman when she was a child, but she was mistaken about it being Brett Kavanaugh.
This is way too much of a delay and I don’t know when or if the subsequent committee vote will be scheduled. With a full week to prepare, she will be as heavily scripted and medicated as necessary. There will be great grandstanding and crazed political speeches, etc. Also, wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if the Dems are preparing additional women to come forward as necessary to continue the circus.

Problem with your story: Mark Judge was there, even Blasey-Ford admits this, and even he says Kavanaugh never did anything of the sort. Judge is the weak link in her chain... which is why even DiFi is distancing herself from Blasey-Ford.
If the Professor goes public for questions, she will not be able to answer the questions which could be a disaster.

I’m thinking that too ... the Dems bluffed and the GOP has the balls to call the bluff unlike what they used to do in the past.
I think this will work out for us ... I understand others are thinking differently, and you have every right to think that way given the history of the GOP cowering in fear when anything resembling adversity rears its head, but I think there is political capital to be had (i.e. GOP boost during the midterm campaigns) if we call their bluff and win the argument :-).
The press will spin this idiotic story any way they want ... however, having her testify and make an ass of herself (you know 3/4 of her replies will be “I don’t recall”) will shut the press up for the most part.
Overall, the Dems are looking for the Republicans to “attack” her so that they can start a “victim shaming” narrative ... however, again, once the facts start coming out and she has no idea about anything, this will all be swept under the rug, but stuck in the public’s mind during the midterms.
