Was just thinking of him a couple days ago. Everyone’s favorite zany neighbor. RIP to another of my fond childhood memories.

I’ve noticed that too for a number of years. I recall back about October 1985, Rock Hudson, Yul Brynner, and Johnny Olson (the game show announcer) all passed within that few days of each other. And earlier that spring, it was Selma Diamond (Night Court) and Dolph Sweet (Gimme A Break) within two or three days of each other.

Weird, ain’t it? Must be part of the price of fame... At that rate, it’s better to be an old nobody, off the radar.

I still fondly recall Bill talking about his brother on the Bob Newhart Show...The brother’s name?
Warden Gorden Borden the Game Warden from Jordan (Oregon).
Rip.

Don't we all. I had burritos for lunch yesterday and they were more than tweets.

Back when comedians/tvstars were nice people... Yes - A time when comedians were actually funny and entertaining.
A time whem comedians delivered jokes instead of political diatribes.

Not sure who the third was, but Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson died on same day. By late afternoon there was the report that Jacko had been rushed to hospital and soon a Boston oldies station started playing his music wall to wall (followed 2 days later by SiriusXM 70s on 7 doing a special based on his music)
Remember being in my car and surfing the XM dial and the display read Whitney Houston’s years of birth and death, plus her music—she had just passed...

He was the normal man.
Any single man in their place, when Miss Electronics 1959 falls in your lap and worships the ground you walk on AND has magical powers, and you see her as a bother - it means you’re gay.
I loved that show as a kid, but Tony never made sense. Roger was the normal guy.

Believe Ed McMahon passed about a couple of days earlier before MJ and Farrah did.

Howard Borden (Bob as the psychiatrist) was just that bit funnier than George Utley (Bob as the innkeeper).

Healy was hilarious. That anxious, self-conscious natural act... worth many laughs.
