Here's a hypothetical: Suppose a candidate talks to a reporter and says something like: "It's time to restore civility and respectful demeanor in our politics, and abandon this rush to bitch and moan about every little thing." Now suppose that he's running against a woman, and the MSM puts out a story that our candidate called his opponent a "bitch."
That's what happened here. No amount of policing one's words can help when we have a media that is willing to twist any context to fit their agenda.

We should start calling out the people that make racist comments like Gillum for what they are: Racists.
Trying to interject race into every discussion is just a reflection of their own racism and skewed world view. I am tired of it.
Instead of being on the defensive, DeSantis should go on the offensive, call out and scold Gillum for his racists comments and lecture him on the fact that we are all Americans, we all have the same right to a bright future and should act as one instead of allowing people like him to try divide us.
