The Catholic religion is Satan’s greatest work of deception ever. Look at how many billions over the centuries have fallen for it.

It’s the power and deceit of the Institutional Church that has led to this debacle. The truths of God and Catholicism are not neatly contained in some book of Canon Law, or in what some Pope said. It’s not embodied in whether or not you eat meat on Fridays during lent, or say the Rosary every day. These truths are much deeper than any Church traditions, and if you only have the traditions, you have nothing.

If we fail in protecting innocence (and children ARE innocent - irrespective of any Church teaching of original sin) then we have failed God. It’s that simple.

The history of the Church is littered with too many bad characters. This has to stop.

That said, Ms. Zito and every Catholic who has drawn this wretched and false distinction, that they can be good Catholics and abandon the Catholic Church, are allowing themselves to fall straight into the pits of Hell.

Blaming the victim is one of your sacraments. It is required for the organization to perpetuate itself. I've seen this over and over. Once people make the logical connection that abuse is part of the system then the spell is broken and they are free.

What's odd is Catholics Christians wonder why their numbers get smaller every year as Church congregations age and young families don't replace the grandmothers and grandfathers who are dying out... Sorry, I am all for holding the church accountable, but every christian denomination across the US and Europe is in decline... believing that is purely a Catholic problem related to this is disingenuous.

Christ is the only One that will clean up this mess. Too many church ladies are still out claiming this is just a 'homosexual' problem.. and that 'everybody' is doing it. They flat out ignore the ones dress up like 'holy' men are the root of the abomination. It apparently seems better to claim this is just a 'homosexual' issue, so nobody gets the idea that these perverts are schooling those children before 'confirmation'. It is like 'confirmation' is the marker for fresh meat, sure sounds better does it not????

This was a cover up of thousands of crimes and abuses. It went as high as the pope. They cannot ask for forgiveness until ALL of those directly involved or involved in the cover up are held to account. As far as I can see that accountability has yet to begin.
