Leftists thugs are not obligated to obey the laws of the land because no one will enforce those laws when they are violated. These keystone cops apparently stood by and let these anarchists do their dirty work with the full knowledge and approval of the university administration. Meanwhile, their UNC face book page has been scrubbed clean of more than 360 negative comments and not a single comment remains that has not passed their censors. These actions are going to bring reactions eventually that will not be pretty at all.

These Union Do-Nothing cops make me wonder why should we support them in the BLM protests over the national anthem.
Screw them all that “Din-Do-Nuttin”

All involved should prosecuted and collectively fined enough to replace the statue.

Gen Albert Pike was the leading Freemason of his day, a confederate general and founder of the KKK.
It will be interesting to see if anything happens to his statue in DC.

Erected in 1913 as a memorial to the Confederate alumni who lost their lives
in the American Civil War and all students who joined the Confederate States
Army. More than one thousand members of the university fought in the American
Civil War in either the Northern or Southern armies, comprising at least 40%
of the student body.

A modest proposal: How about legislature of North Carolina suspend all state appropriations to the university (over $400M/year, I think) until the:
* The President of the Unviersity and the chief of the university police are fired.
* The university restores the statue to its original state
* The university identifies all participants in this act of vandalishm, expels or fires them, and prosecutes them to the full extent of the law.

Whose statue will replace the one removed by the American Taliban?
Che Guevara? Fidel Castro? Karl Marx? Malcolm X? MLK? Nat Turner? Barack Obama?

I’ve got a feeling that, over the long run, there are people who are laughing and cheering today that are not going to be very happy in the future...

Of course not. Liberals love Obama so why not his spiritual father, too?

Who on FR is cheering this sort of thing? My ancestors fought in the Civil War for the Union, one was grievously wounded at Spotsylvania Court House. I see no justification for this destruction.
