Yep, just talking to my son who knows about security clearances and he brought up the fact that they don’t want to lose them in case they snag a contractors job that requires them.
If the clearance has been revoked they won’t be hired because they’d have to go through the whole process rather than a renewal and the chances of getting it after it being revoked is practically nothing.

No-Brainer ,,, they have no “need to know” , therefore no need for a clearance... and anyone providing them classified information should be fired and arrested.
