I thought that was particularly funny, as if the firing of some low-level insubordinate worker was something only the leader of the free world could do.
I imagine the man who collects our trash getting fired, and going on national news to complain that he was fired by some first-line manager, and not the CEO.
I agree. Aggressive prosecution/investigation of her involvement is a good start.

Secondly, it totally DOES look bad on the President that he hired her. He hired her as part of his Transition Executive, along with his sons, Ivanka, Kushner, and Banon. That is NOT a ‘low-level’ staffing appointment.
