Yes, that's where the Rip Van Winkle joke came in... the world (Sunday Morning News Shows) changed while you weren't watching. My comment was meant to be light hearted - no offense was intended.
I don’t think he meant that in a disparaging way.
>>August 16 - NATIONAL ‘CANCEL YOUR NEWSPAPER SUBSCRIPTION’ DAY<<
I like it. And it could catch on too.
And the real rags will be standing up and self-identifying with their editorials so the correct papers will take the biggest hit.
They are all proving they are the enemies of the people, and publish nothing but fake news.
Thanks. Spread the word.
And the better - fairer - papers could get a boost...
Twofer...
I’d like to see a list of these papers. I imagine the Dallas Morning News is on the list. I had a subscription for 25 years and watched it slowly progress from right to center right to center left and in the last 3 years full on left.
The editorial staff editorials on the left hand side always push progressive policies and all of the political reporters stories betray their leftist political beliefs. Their regular op ed contributors are 90% far left loonies and the whole paper is shot through with Trump Derangement Syndrome.
They’ve called several times trying to get us to reup our subscription and claim that they’ve heard reader’s complaints, but I’m not going to be fooled.
It’s really sad because it used to be a good paper.
Okay, my mistake. I was still outraged at what I saw.
Cancellation of subscriptions might convey the idea that citizens love liberty more than they love receiving an increasingly irrelevant newspaper or "news" segment from Progressive ideologues.
Forced speech is unconstitutional . See the Becerra case decided by SCOTUS in June. Besides do you really think that the press would get a reasoned writer to provide the counterpoint? No, theyd have David Duke write the counterpoint on open borders, to give one example
I wonder if theyll present themselves as unbiased journalists being attacked for factual reporting. That would be fake editorializing.
Oh my! Sternly written letters! Oh my!
Nobody cares haha
Something interesting that I ran across while looking for the Globe’s Email address. It turns out that the Globe is owned by the “New York Times Company”. They are not their own actor, they are a lackey, or better yet a merkin for the New York times. :)
Thanks... my mistake too. My writing was sloppy.
The “journalist” Stelter probably has wet panties over his barely held thrill that he had something to report against the hated President. Loathsome. Nearly as masculine as Shep
Soon when Elizabeth Warren gets in they will report
“The glorious Five Year Farm Plan of the esteemed utmost leader Warren has again exceeded all expectations. People standing in morning food lines are being given prompt chances to pick up rations of rutabaga, turnips and potatoes from truckbeds and only the latecomers in back go home to their families empty handed.”
