“That said, Facebook or Youtube do not control access to data.

That is absolutely not true.”

Of course it’s true.

Anyone with internet access and a browser can get to https://www.infowars.com

Facebook and youtube do not and cannot influence that.

My assertion is unequivocally true.

“You totally underestimate the power of social media.”

Dude.

We’re talking about Facebook, not the internet.

The companies that spend billions spend it for a specific target audience. The Facebook denizen.

There are several flavors of such denizens, but the active users are most certainly not a general cross section of society.

While 70+% of American have Facebook accounts, only about 20% check in daily. Of those, only about 1/4 post over 50% of total Facebook traffic. And most of those are teen girls and young women.

These are secrets that Facebook is TERRIFIED will become general knowledge. It would kill their entire business model.

You are unequivocally wrong.

Against the law.

Don't think the progressive left really gives a damn' about the law and since the U.S. (IANA to be specific) turned over DNS to ICANN and that move was hailed by oh, Amazon, Google, Facebook, Twitter, Apple and the rest of the social(ist) media platforms they're going to have a lot more influence on who gets to stay in DNS and who goes.

Then there's the fact that Russia, China and other communist countries have representation on ICANN, they also influence DNS policies and the concern is they'll be able to restrict namespace within their country and also preventing access to their country.

Personally, I can see a scenario where the social(ist) media companies bribe enough public officials and ICANN that they end up controlling DNS if they don't already. They have the money and since the social(ist) media companies are a propaganda arm of the Democrats, I can really see this happening.

“You are unequivocally wrong. “

This exposes your lack of knowledge and understanding of the internet, so I’ll take a shot at explanation to see if were talking about the same thing.

Facebook controls only what a Facebook user, one who is logged on to the application at that moment, can access with that browser window. Facebook can control only that.

However, if a person logs onto the internet and does not connect to FB, they are free to browse the entire network unrestricted.

They also have unrestricted browsing if they are logged on and decide to open a new browser window.

Thus my assertion that Facebook/Youtube do not control access to data. They don’t.

That data is still available to anyone smart enough to use a browser and click a link.

Ok then you can access anything you want, 2 billion other people can't. Got it.

Wonder which group I would appeal to?

If YouTube decides to Shadow Ban your account you have no recourse period even though your stuff is available no one sees it. It is still there so you are not banned. Great logic.

Do you doubt that these entities play well with our alphabet agencies? Remember Maxine letting slip the giant database that O was building that would be like none other before? This morning Google admits they track you location even if you turn of tracking. Just another cool capitalist making an honest buck.

“Ok then you can access anything you want, 2 billion other people can’t. Got it.”

Every single one of those 2 billion (240mil in the US) has a browser, whether on Android, iPhone or computer.

The vast majority know how to use it. And they CAN access anything they want. And do.

“If YouTube decides to Shadow Ban your account”

The Youtube proprietary search engine is not a utility and can ban anything they wish. Smart publishers don’t rely on Youtube. They, at the very least, also publish on their own web page. That’s what Infowars does and they have not lost views.

“Do you doubt that these entities play well with our alphabet agencies?”

No. They and every telephone company, bank, medical provider and grocery store do too. And many others. And have been for decades.

This is a much bigger issue than Facebook or Youtube or any of them. This is an issue with our lawless federal government.

If only they had your brain then everything would be OK. You are insufferably deceitful in your I Got Mine attitude.
