It’s a bad thing to be associated with a slaughter, and 0bama’s seen the numbers on the mid-terms. He stays relatively silent, the more they’ll need him in ‘20 and the higher price he can demand. And no one is asking, “Where is Hillary?”, they’re just asking what it would take to make her go away.
Obama is probably thinking, these people are going to lose big, I want no part of that!

No leadership, no excitement...No enthusiasm..Nothing...After orchestrating years of decline, political correctness, globalism, trying to divide America, pushing their widespread racism myths, open borders and promoting a welfare society, that’s all the had...It was all bad...

Ex-Presidents don't have an unlimited reserve of credibility and can't depend on unlimited acceptance by the public.
They use whatever influence they have sparingly so that people don't get sick and tired of them.
When they have something to say, they want it to count, and not get written off as the usual stuff politicians say.
Obama will do what he did in prior elections: pick a few candidates he's sure will win and campaign for them.
That way he gets attention and credit without risking anything.
Playing golf, taking vacations, catching up on Game of Thrones . . .
Counting his money and trying to avoid arrest.
He living like a king, meanwhile go collect your welfare check chump.
