If you fund it, they will come.
Situation normal, re the streets. Why wasn’t it reported months or years ago?
Hello, NPR! Its outfits like yours who glorify the homeless and demand more and more and more funding. Well, here is your predictable result.
Couldnt happen to a nicer state.
I am very surprised that NPR did report this as well, if they are saying this, then it must be bad also any FReepers that live in SF and see this daily?
I cant believe it, this place is really a sh!thole.
Where I live, people dump in the crapper and pick up after their dogs. It is inexcusable for San Francisco to have become such a shit hole. Why the citizenry aren’t in revolt is beyond my ken. It seems totally fitting, though, that this is happening in Nancy Pelosi land.
Not to mention the leftist trash and feces in the SF City Council.
Just a few months ago, leftists were denying this:

The “good” news is that the street people are now victims of an affordable housing crisis, not drug addiction or mental illness.
Coming to a city near you.
It’s all over social media. They have no choice.
Wait until Typhoid breaks out.
Poop-A-Roni the San Francisco treat.
Oh look everybody, NPR chimed in...
“... victims of an affordable housing crisis...”
We had neighbors that got hit with a huge rent increase on their rental house. It went from $1,400 a month to $2,600 a month. They ended up buying their “dream home” a few years earlier than they wanted. About 30 miles farther out of the city. Pre-built house on 4 acres, half of it is fenced, a 60’x60’ work garage with tall doors for his work truck, several other out-buildings, etc.
I’m guessing that most folks that can afford the rents around here (Seattle) in the first place probably won’t end up homeless. Although I have read in the papers of a few of them. But I’m guessing they aren’t the type to poop on the sidewalk.
Some of the younger high-tech folks have vans or box-trucks and park at the campus and use the campus gym for showers.
Heck - I knew a 20-something that had made a bunch of money in the oil-fields and paid off his college loans and still has a bunch in savings. Summers he does trail work for the forest service and does climbing. Winters he’s a ski bum and works at the resorts. Spring and fall he parks cars at a fancy downtown hotel. He lives out of his car spring-fall. “The forest work we’re out anyways. At the hotel, I get to use the gym showers and get a great breakfast at half-price! But yeah - in another year I’ll go and get my Masters. But I figure I’m in my prime for skiing and climbing now.”
