If we have enough oil to sell, then we don’t need to buy any from the middle east. We also should keep it for ourselves.

Donald Trump: U.S. Will Compete with Russia’s Gas Pipeline to Germany

As well we should, and as long as it is Free Market competition (both ways) the German, American and Russian people will all benefit from it.

Its ridiculous to think we can supply Europes energy with LNG shipped across the Atlantic
I think we have exactly one processing plant in Louisiana and a few more planned and think we’re going to supply Europe and Asia?
And theyre going to configure their internal infrastructure to accomodate storage and distribution of LNG shipped almost 4000 miles?

Germany would be fools to not tap into a Baltic pipeline

Competition will be difficult.EThe primary customer has foresworn coal and oil and vows to live off wind and solar and gas, we can’t ship enough gas by sea to make a dent in Euro energy needs and a pipeline under the Atlantic is probably not an option.

Not sure why we spend a single American dollar defending Europe. It's makes no sense that our dollars fund defences against Russia when Russia is one of Europe's major trading partners.

We should either charge 100% of what it costs our taxpayers or bring our troops home to seal our own borders.

Heck, Europe can just become part or Vlad's new USSR.

Thanks - you actually help make my case that we have not anywhere near the infrastructure to supply the energy needs of the boneheads in all of Europe who are too righteous to use their own coal and also abandoned nuclear power

Nor do they have the infrastructure to handle and distribute incoming LNG delivered by sea on a massive scale

We’re on the way to becoming the world’s biggest exporter of oil. We’ve also exporting liquefied natural gas from at least two LNG facilities. We made the first delivery to Europe last year, We used to buy 25% of the world’s oil. No longer. OPEC and Russia is screwed.

We can’t compete with the short pipeline...common sense. Perhaps in other areas

Baron’s going to be in a good position now to feed Putin some misinformation.

Or maybe he’ll develop a code so Putin and Trump can communicate through the soccer ball while bypassing monitors.

Especially if they never make any attempt to do so, which they won’t. The truth is that the the Germans have always looked to Russia for resources and wouldn’t buy our stuff if it was cheaper and easier. The Russians and the Germans are both bad news from way back. Neither country gives a damn how badly their deals screw supposedly allied countries that aren’t Germany or Russia. They have both been that way for most of the past century or so.
