NATO hasn’t even been around a single century, let alone multiple centuries.
And President Trump’s criticism of NATO isn’t directly at the organization but at member states not keeping their pledged commitments as members of the organization - if they do so, the alliance will be all the stronger for it...and much of the problem isn’t NATO but the other organization many of the member nations are members of: the EU. What Trump is doing can only strengthen NATO...because if the member states do not keep their commitments to the organization they will be what damaged it, not Trump’s rhetoric.
