Background on Windsor from the royal communications office tells us that this is not the 92-year-old queen’s first rodeo: She has met eleven out of twelve serving US Presidents during her reign, according to that office. The only one she didn’t meet was President Johnson. She has hosted several other presidents at Windsor: President and Mrs Obama (Windsor 2016) 2. President and Mrs George W. Bush (Windsor 2008) 3. President and Mrs Reagan (Windsor 1982).

More background: The 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards is one of the British Army’s longest serving units. * During the pool spray with PM May, Trump ignored shouted questions about his interview with The Sun. He made a mocking face at the question, turned to his row of aides with a “can you believe this” look on his face,and National Security AdviserJohn Bolton chuckled along.
* On our way out of the room, Trump spotted NYT photographer Doug Mills and made a quip about a photograph he was unhappy with, noting it made him look like he had a “double chin.” Rest of the comment was inaudible, butmore chuckling from aides ensued.
* During the televised presser, he referred to NBC, CNN and The Sun all as”fake news” at different points.
* Pool has asked Sarah Sanders for her audio of the president’s interview with The Sun,as we were directed to by Trump. Awaiting that.

POTUS/FLOTUS are in transit and the large expanded pool is getting in place ahead of their arrival at Windsor Castle, a royal home surely grand enough to elicit praise from the president, who has marveled about what he has seen here in the UK so far.
POTUS/FLOTUS are scheduled to lift off from Winfield House @ 4:35 pm and are scheduled to arrive here just before 5 p.m.
Earlier this week Buckingham Palace released a more detailed agenda for the president and first lady’s visit with the queen. The queen will welcome the Trumps at the Quadrangle of the Castle, where an honor guard will perform the national anthem and give a royal salute. Then the group will go inside for tea.
In the quadrangle likely the worlds fanciest driveway stone-faced royal guards are millimg about on the gravel. Two red-and-gold chairs are sitting empty, likely waiting to be filled with royals.

The joint presser with POTUS and PM has ended. It was open press for the worlds convenience, but it appears, for now, that a trade crisis has been averted. And the president says that the UK/US relationship is now at the highest level of special.
Also, the president said he does not have high expectations for his meeting on Monday with Putin. As he left, he answered a shouted question from CNNs Jim Acosta, whose network was antagonized repeatedly as fake news during the presser, that he will tell Putin to stay out of US elections.
POTUS is now scheduled to helo back to Winfield House, presumably to collect the First Lady, who spent her afternoon visiting children and lawn bowling with Mrs. Mays husband.
Your pool is heading to vans with an extended pool to get set up for the next leg of our journey: Later this afternoon, the first couple will helo to Windsor Castle for tea with the queen.

POTUS emerged to greet PM May, who stood at the door with her hands clasped behind her back, a smile on her face.
The president at first ignored shouted questions about whether he regretted his comments on Brexit to The Sun, and ignored another about whether or not he would voice his concerns with the PM.
The two nodded, smiled and thanked your pool. Your pool headed inside where POTUS, seated next to the PM, responded indirectly to questions about the Sun report.
The prime minister and I worked very hard together on NATO spending, he said. Its never been more united, POTUS said of this relationship.
On last nights dinner (during which The Sun news broke) POTUS said: We talked for an hour and a half and it was really something.

After a 20-minute osprey ride that included gorgeous views of London, including the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye, your pool is wheels down at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
POTUS was wheels down at 9:32 and was greeted by Prime Minister May here, Hogan Gidley has told the pool.
Your pooler has requested a readout of what specifically POTUS will be doing while he is here, but at the very least hes slated to view a joint military exercise.
Pool is holding for what we are told will be about 30 minutes. Some color on the academy, known as The Home of the British Army Officer: At any time up to 600 cadets are undergoing training. It was bombed in 1941. Women were first admitted in 1982.
Todays demonstration will include American and British officers.
