Not sure how duplicate post happened.....sorry for that and incorrect “to”...should be “too”. :-)

Conservatives should go to the Red Hen in Lexington, order and then leave.
Tired of these Communist windbags and their faux concern.

Ya, crooked Hillary carried Lexington 1500 to 800. Trump carried Rockbridge County, where Lexington is located, 62% to 33%.
Hopefully Red Hen will go down the tubes.

Her yarn store (
House Mountain Yarn) seems to be getting its fair share of Yelp comments as well.

Their nostalgic longing for the ‘60s can be turned on its head and made to dance the boogaloo. We can brainstorm here, and those in the area can do it there.

"While I agree that she does not have a claim for discrimination, she may have tort claim for intentional infliction of emotional distress." Let's have some fun and test it out for VA...
Before I start recognize the biggest problem for Sarah of IIED is the need to be associated physical harm.
But here are the elements 1) The conduct was intentional or reckless. 2) The conduct was outrageous and intolerable. 3) There was a causal connection between the wrongdoers conduct and the emotional distress. 4) The emotional distress was severe.
1) Did the owner take the action for the purpose of inflicting emotional distress? 385 S.E.2d 893 (1989)
2) This is, is aimed at limiting frivolous suits and avoiding litigation in situations where only bad manners and mere hurt feelings are involved. Womack, 215 Va. at 342, 210 S.E.2d at 148
3)The causation element requires only that the wrongful conduct and the emotional distress be causally connected." Womack v. Eldridge, 215 Va. 338, 342, 210 S.E.2d 145, 148 (1974)
4)[N]ightmares, depression, low self-esteem, shame, and other similar afflictions have likewise been held insufficient . . . . See, e.g., McGallon v. Verizon Wireless Unlimited, Inc., 85 Va. Cir. 460, 463

The emotional distress was not severe. Sarah is over it. The Red Hen, however, should never recover.

I corrected myself a few posts down.

I am not legally licensed to opine on the law in VA, but based upon the general common-law, a claim for intentional infliction of emotional distress would probably survive a motion to dismiss.

The portions are a little small for the price but for a fancier Mexican spot it seems about on par with other places in the area. We got the guacamole and a few tacos - all fantastic. Service was great for a quick work lunch! jklmelton jklmelton Local Guide · 25 reviews · 60 photos a week ago Decent Mexican food. Staff could use a bit more training. Someone finally gets it. All three restaurants need deplorable visits, and their addresses are provided, except for the Red Hen, which is located 1822 First Street NW, Washington, DC
