"You and I are limited to $2,700 a candidate, Blommy gets to spend $80,000,000. Citizen United was the worst mistake the Supremes ever made." Agree with you on Citizens United. The SC gave those with wealth greater first amendment rights than you or I.
Still Bloomberg may be wasting his money as the GOPe wing of the Uniparty are working diligently to lose control of Congress in the midterms.

Bloomberg actually thinks he can buy his way into heaven with his political spending. Saw an interview of him last year (60 Minutes) in which he claimed exactly that; he was so proud of the $5 billion he had spent on anti-tobacco efforts.

It’s a pretty good investment for him. He knows he can buy Congressional seats— he’s done it before. Couldn’t buy the Presidency (Hillary), but as a businessman (an evil one, sure, but a successful one) he knows you win some, you lose some. He’s in it for the long haul. And in the Blue states, he’ll win.

So let me see if I have this right. D’nesh Desuza spends $28,000 on an election and ends up a convicted felon and get 8 months in jail. Michael Bloomberg spends $80,000,000 and that’s just hunky dory. OK, got it.
