You have a good view. Low turnout of dems can boost Morrisey’s chances.

But Morrisey is not an inspiring, attractive candidate, so there can be a low turnout of repubs as well.

I see Manchin winning because Morrisey is not a stellar candidate. This is a GOP problem.

The GOP problem will not be helped by McConnell and his PACs to help Morrisey. McConnell is not liked at all in WVA and McConnell is horrible at getting GOP candidates elected over an incumbent. The best record McConnell has is in torpedoing tea party or conservatives that refuse to kiss his behind.

The only thing I see as shaming dems to stay home is a full court press by the President against corrupt democrats prior to the midterms. That could possibly lead to a low turnout of dems to give Morrisey a chance.

Funny, because the West Virginians that I know, that have worked in Massey Mines and all voted for Trump, voted for Morrisey or the other guy. If MHSA was pursuing a “war on coal” in this instance, they would have shut the Upper Big Branch Mine down. Most of those MHSA inspectors are either former Coal Miners or the family members of current Coal Miners, they sure as hell aren’t after Miners, Mines or Coal Companies. I’m not disputing that Obama launched a War on Coal, but it’s a long way from DC to the hills of WV and KY. Sometimes regulations are a necessary evil. Blankenship is not a hill to die on.

It’s a matter of court record that Obama’s inspectors tried to blame the miners for all manner of ills.

I don’t care about Massey. He’s not a worthwhile subject to pursue. I can point to any company where workers bitch about some specific boss that drives them crazy. My advice is to get an education, career, retraining and make a change if bosses drive you crazy.

Blankenship is a good man with more knowledge, experience, and good sense than both Jenkins and Morrisey put together. But he’s damaged goods. Obama succeeded in cutting him off at the knees.

The subject of this thread is now Morrisey. I hope he wins. But the way it looks he has a slim chance.

That’s why I say there is no good news in WVA election prospects. What is good news for WVA is that under President Trump, the coal mine industry is making a strong comeback and the younger generation can look forward to good jobs with mines equipped with the latest safety technology that people like Blankenship advocate for.

If you think Don Blakenship is a good man, We’ll agree to disagree.

Donald Trump donated to democrats, dined with mobsters, beamed smiles before cameras standing next to Hillary Rotten, and groped pussy just to name a few of his acts that made and continue to make liberal heads explode.

Not only do I think Donald Trump is a good man, he’s a great man and the best president the USA has had since Ronaldus Magnamus Absolutus.

I will bet 10 to 1 that Blankenship is a cleaner leader than the Donald. But right now, it doesn’t matter.

Now let’s focus on Morrisey and what can be done to boost his prospects which are presently dismal.
