Does McCabe really want to be asked questions while under oath?.....Why not? He knows he’s a Democrat and may obfuscate with impunity AND immunity.
Bet there was a lot between the lines in that praise of RR.
That may work when they control the DOJ but I am not sure it will work when there is another lawyer asking the questions and when there is a real penalty for lying.
I think someone is giving him bad advice.

DiGenova is 100% more knowlegable about Trump’s thinking re Sessions than you are. At the time he made this statement he had been conferring with Trump re the Mueller problem. There were several reports that DiGenova had actually joined Trump’s legal team. Although he actually didn’t, he WAS in a position to speak from Trump’s POV re Sessions.
Then there’s Giuliani. He is being brought in to clean up the Mueller mess that Sessions created...like an adult coming aboard to clean up after a particularly accident prone child.
It’s probably not for McCabe... it’s for the Democrat Party and the midterm elections

DiGenova is a pro-Trump lawyer. There’s the difference.
Rudy has lots of connections to Ukraine and indirectly to Russia. The Trump-Russia connection had to be debunked enough for RG to be of help to DJT.
And don’t overlook Giuliani’s health problems.

The stupid party was handed a gift in the last election but working to keep it doesn't seem to be among their interests or abilities at the moment.
It does seem like Mueller has been grasping at straws for a while now. I just hope that Trump avoids an interview with him. I’m a bit uneasy about the idea that a person can tell the truth and still be convicted of perjury. That should not be. Something needs to change.
How they gonna ‘splain the internal reviews that the FBI made which decided he was too slimy to be allowed to retire????
