Back in the old days we had “conversion therapy” and it seemed to work on some. We called it “gay bashing”.

Perhaps Cali will pass laws giving the State the right to determine the gender identification of newborns according to a Fairness standard in order to inject enough “transgenders” into the population to make them equally represented in all walks of life.

If, under this proposal, I am living in CA as a Christian and I share the Gospel with people and they ask me if they would have to give up the practice of homosexuality to follow Christ, am I in violation of this proposed law? Am I to be arrested and prosecuted under the "conversion" proposal? Is the Bible banned as a book which requires the renouncing of the sinful practice of homosexuality?

The best thing that can be said about this pack of howling idiots pretending to be a legislature is that they aren’t very good at law writing. In fact, they’re abysmal. Since 1989 they have tried at least 4 or 5 times to ban the sale (not possession just the sale) of “assault weapons” and yet I was in gun store last week that had all the popular varieties for sale. I figure their attempt at banning books will similarly elude them.

The American Library Association is ferociously opposed to banning books. They even promote a Banned Books Week every year during which they invite everyone to "read a book that someone doesn't want you to read."

But I'm not holding my breath waiting for their response to this outrage.
