Probably correct.
I confess that ever since we moved from Seattle to our farm in rural KY, the scariest scene in any movie is the first five minutes of Inglorious Basterds.
Your not lecturing
Youre brushing your hair in the mirror thinking how cute you are
Excellent article! I don’t see the tyrants letting us go that easily, but that is really where we are and have been for a while now. Of course, it’s doubtful the left’s country would make it, because they would starve and be destroyed by terrorists they keep letting in. JMO.
That is a stupid map.
AMEN!
“The divide and grounds for divorce is not regional, but urban and rural.”
THIS.
There is no geographic solution to the “divorce” path. It’s not a simple “yours, mine, done”.
Upstate NY hates NYC.
GA is redneck but for multicultural Atlanta.
Let CA leave, and 90% of the state is still stuck with the moronic-but-powerful 5-mile strip down the coast.
Agree to part, and we’ll just fight even fiercer over who gets what where.
To correct the marital analogy: we need to establish well-defined areas of “leave me alone”. The Right needs the “man cave”, garage, patio, and workshop. The Left needs the sitting room, entertainment center, and vanity. They may still share those areas, but realize that one generally gets to dictate terms THERE and not _everywhere_; vanity rules don’t apply in the man cave, etc.
It’s a sea of red with an archipelago of blue. You can’t just draw a line and declare them separated.
They would need to re-draw the map so that the eastern portions of Washington, Oregon, and California, including the central basin and northern part are in not included with the liberal westside cities of those states
I warn you strongly against assuming that our side would win. It is by no means assured, particularly if the left mobilizes and expands its young and stupid Antifa base, or the desperately poor, and gives them access to a (false) dream of Utopia and military-grade hardware. This is how the leftists typically win revolutions against well-trained states and armies.
And while you are "destroying progressives" remember you are talking about, in many cases, our parents, siblings, cousins, spouses, friends, and children.
I would much rather see both sides tip their hats and go their separate ways.
Even today, look at which side is quick to use violence. At rallies and protests, it's elements of the left who are punching people in their faces and smashing things. Our side, not so much. We tend to behave ourselves and stay out of trouble.
History has demonstrated that killing comes easy to the left and they're stocking up on guns as well. Plenty on the left know how to use them. Shooting a gun isn't hard if you have the will to pull the trigger.
Might have been a crushing argument at one point, but now so many things Americans use are made in China or Mexico or some other country, I don't think it will fly.
And even back when American industry dominated the world, New York was a major manufacturing center. It's where a lot of your clothes came from back in those days.
Anyway, I'm not going to throw deindustrialization in New York's face when it's a much bigger phenomenon in today's global economy and affects the heartland as much as the biggest cities.
Vote on it... we don't need a committee drawing 'the map'.
The map should be based on a free people making an informed choice. Each State decides which country it wants to go with... based on popular vote... OR IF they want to keep the country as one.
“It is much better that we just go our separate ways peacefully.”
We can’t. We’re entwined. You can’t just draw a line. It’s urban vs rural, neighbor vs neighbor.
Matthew 5:11-12 "Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you."
Conservatives could regain the lead in the culture war if President Trump would lead it but so far, he has not.
We’re going to need a bigger wall.
Romans 10:3 For not knowing about God's righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.
Agree with you.
I was hoping he would surround himself with advisors who would lead him in a conservative direction. But he didn’t quite pick the right ones, at least not until recently.
I have high hopes for Bolton. We will see.
what happens when the liberal countries fall apart and then people want to move to conservative ones, but vote for Democrats?
