Your post has caused some irritation among the pretenders.
They don’t want anyone giving credit to Trump for pushing the democrats to the left.
This is because Trump’s actions are ruining their game.
First of all, let’s replace the words, “democrats”, “progressives”, “immigrants (non-citizens)”, with the word, “media”.
The only threat from the left is from the media...it is the media which gives democrats, progressives, and immigrants, any power at all. The media provides them a platform to speak at will about their desires and philosophy. Meanwhile, RINO’s (cousins to democrats) are too cowardly to fight back.
THe progressives, democrats, and immigrants are not driven “left” by Trump, or anyone else. They are trying to silence Trump because he is exposing their game. He’s not afraid to call them out on their criminal and socialistic practices and ideals. He’s disturbing their money flow and neutralizing their power.
The only threat we have from the left, is cowardly republicans sitting by and letting them have their way. Cowards like McConnell, Ryan, McCain, etc., are so terrified of “bad publicity” from their boogie-men in the media, they’d kiss Obama’s ass in Times Square is that what it takes.
The solution likes in the true, conservative, citizens, who are NOT afraid to speak out and fight for what American used to be...free.
Illegal immigration is foreign invasion, theft of public, taxpayer, funds, and an intent to remold American into the shitholes they came here from, using re-purposed, “civil rights” tactics, and intimidation.
I don’t know how it will eventually end, but those of us who will not stand up now, are crapping all over those who have died for our freedom for the last, few hundred years. They believed enough in this country and the concept of America to get off their asses and protect it.

Democrats are now openly going left. Better for us. Better for America. Because the further left they go, the fewer and lower level elections they win. Because no matter what they think, Americans as a people are a lot smarter than they give them credit for.
I think we’re dealing with organized communists ... The Hyde Park Chicago and Columbia University type... and they’ve been with us AND getting stronger - long before Trump came on the scene.
Fidel Castro used to refer to leftists in America as his “fellow progressives”. I would say that they are actually communists, but not in name. Only after do communists get total power do they usually admit what they are. That was the case with Castro.

Some of them are going to pretend to be moderates in the midterms, and then go far left as soon as they are elected.
I would be more concerned with getting the correct names. Researching my genealogy, I came across SIX different spellings of my last name on the US Census between 1900 and 1930!
BTW, there are only FIVE letters in my last name.
