Iran has huge oil reserves. Syria does not. Rogin is NeoCon/Deep State trash.

Assad is still in power. The oil is going to Russia - that’s why they’re ‘helping’ Assad. There's no oil & moderate amounts of natural gas. Syria was a net importer of energy in 2015, the last year the CIA measured.
The reasons Russia is involved are many, but grabbing up energy resources isn't one of them.
