As wonderful a word as “devolve” is, and how well it captures the debased histrionics that passes for ‘reasoning’ from the left as regards RKBA, I take issue with the title.

Actually, I thought one of the characteristics of a military assault rifle was that, in addition to being capable of full automatic fire, it fired a medium power cartridge and that a rifle firing a more powerful cartridge like the .308 was a battle rifle.

When it comes time to ban assault weapons, liberals aren't going to make the same mistake they made in '94 in listing a bunch of cosmetic features like bayonet lugs and whatnot. They're going to go straight to the crux. "Semi-auto? Detachable magazine? Banned. Hand 'em over!"
