Obama was always measured with a polished persona. Hogg is insect-like in ill-fitting, boyz-to-men suits. His metier is pushed and fractional.

He will work fine as a current media blurb while the school shooting is still fresh. But when the next hot issue comes up, he will have nothing to add. Right now he is tossing out the lines he is fed. The minute a focus group decides he isn't registering anymore, he is finished.
