No good reason to vote Republican - or ‘Rat for that matter - at all.

Like the old saying used to go "you've said a mouthful with that statement".

I’m surprised at everyone who’s not getting this. This is not a budget. It’s a bill. And Trump controls the spending on every dime of it. BO did this on purpose his whole presidency.
Trump controls where the spending goes and where it won’t go, not Congress. Brilliant!

So it is your opinion that Trump has the same or equal sway over a liberal consuming Congress that Obama had and Trump can just ignore their vision for how this money is to be spent? Maybe you and others who believe this fairy tale fable best wake up have a strong cup of coffee and smell the real world roses. Trump deviates very much from this political road map handed to him by a liberal controlled Congress (that's right, liberal controlled) will quickly find himself looking Impeachment in the face up cose and personal real quick.

I think there is a problem of unrealistic expectations.

A great example of this is the Obamacare SCOTUS decision.

The chief justice has few powers that other justices do not. Otherwise his vote is just one vote. One of his unique powers is that, if he votes with the *majority*, but only then, he can choose who *writes* the majority opinion. The majority opinion is the one that matters.

Had Chief Justice Roberts done *nothing*, Justice Kennedy would have joined the leftists, won the majority, and then they would have written a *horrible* Obamacare decision that would have made it impossible to repeal.

So Chief Justice Roberts had no choice but to vote in favor of Obamacare, so that *he* could write the majority opinion, and insert a *poison pill* into it, which he did.

It didn’t matter to a lot of conservatives, though, who screamed “Chief Justice Roberts betrayed us!!!” They had no idea that by “throwing the fight”, Roberts would lose the battle, but WIN THE WAR.

What he actually did was both brilliant and sneaky. He wrote in the decision that Obamacare was a tax. It may not seem like much, but doing so guaranteed that Obamacare could be destroyed.

This is because that, to repeal Obamacare would take a 2/3rds majority in the House and Senate, something that would almost never happen, constitutionally, taxes are decided by a simple majority.

So, Justice Roberts won the war for us. And still there are a bunch of conservatives who think him a villain.

Certainly there are some bad Republicans. Either corrupt or stupid and/or liberal. But every year, more and more of them are being purged.

We need to keep the focus on primaries and put people in office who will do what they say, not talk a good game and then do the opposite.

Great summary of Trump’s HUGE first year.

On the immediate horizon: Fixing the U.S. balance of trade, ending chain migration and ending the nuclear threats of NorK and Iran.

In a few short years, he will START TO SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCE the $21 trillion national debt.

Oh ... and the U.S. will see a Christian revival.

Mark my words!

Because we don’t have a viable third party?

I can think of a good reason

Keep democrats out of office

The more we block, the better.

We lost a battle, not the war.

Sorry folks I am not putting up my FreeRepublic white surrender flag

Did you really think defeating the deep state/swamp was going to be easy?

Republicans are liberal’s who support corporate welfare. The conservative spill is mostly to get southern voters

Southern voters don't like pork-barrel projects?

Once upon a time, Republicans could say to Democrats: "You don't really want all that money going to Planned Parenthood. How about we use it for some project in your district that you really want?"

That doesn't work any more. Republicans aren't going to make the offer and Democrats aren't going to take it. Ideology and party loyalty count for more than what they once did.

No Democrat wants to be known as the one who sold out the party and its agenda, and no Republican wants to be the one who gave the Democrats billions for their local pork-barrel projects.

Because of the way the Senate works, if Republicans can't peel away Democrat votes they can't get the cuts they want, so they don't get them. There's also the question of whether the GOP leadership really wants those cuts, but even if they do, it would be very hard to get them.

It was a bill. He signed it. That makes it the LAW. And the President does not have near total control how the money which is allocated is spent.

Because chickenpox is better than smallpox.

Given what the Dems now represent, you can't say, "Let others finally experience how bad it can get," because you may never be able to go back again after they impose a one party state.

GOPe is throwing the midterms to allow the rats to impeach President Trump. There is no alternative other than a 3rd party.

Once Again, I Ask: Why Vote Republican?

Because Democrats are Marxists with balls and Republicans are simply corrupt but have no balls. The Democrats would not blink an eye in sending difficult individuals to concentration camps. Not so with the Republican eunuchs.

Once Again, I Ask: Why Vote Republican?

I answer:

"Because voting Republican holds the potential of being significantly more helpful towards advancing Republican President Donald Trump's #MAGA agenda.

Additionally, there is also the fact that the Democrat Party—including former Secretary of State and Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, former President Barack Obama, and elements of the Deep State who are sympathetic to and affiliated with those interests—are engaged in a pervasive, ongoing, treasonous conspiracy intended to effect a coup against the duly-elected 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump.

That should suffice as an adequate answer to the question 'Why vote Republican?'

Any questions, you f-cking abject, ignorant moron?"

Trump is trying to make chicken salad out of chicken shit. Until we get this movement on firmer ground with better candidates, we HAVE to vote for even the rinos. The purists will get us to hell alot faster with no recovery possible. Once our rights are taken, they are gone forever. We are one or two election cycles from that happening.
