What kills me is the process argument is an easy argument to make. Our representatives were given less than a day to deliberate on a 2000 page bill. That is absurd and wrong, and anyone would agree that it’s absurd and wrong totally apart from the specifics of how the money is actually being spent. Politically speaking, it’s a slam dunk to advocate for a return to normal process. It would have been a great way for the Republicans to show that they’re the adults in the room in an election year.

The problem is the GOP has sold out on trade. As the dems are also sold out, but in a different way.

The RINOs sold out on a lot and used the military funding to "justify" their Dem-type spree.

They also tried to set up Trump by making it a real hot potato if he had vetoed it because they would have overridden his veto and then celebrated with the Dems as they claimed he betrayed the military.

Make no mistake - this is Ryan and McConnell trying to do what Mueller cannot do.

Yes he is jjotto! I live in his district. Northeast Iowa has been traditionally blue. Blum gets more crap from local TV and newspapers than Trump does it seems. He’s solid. He will always have tough re-election battles just because of the demographics.

Time for the super majority rule to go.

Absolutely.

The only reasons they don't:

  1. The pompous asses value their precious Senate "tradition" above everything else.

  2. They worry if they do, they'll regret it when the Dems get control again. That's beyond ridiculous as everyone knows today's Democraps would not hesitate to deep six the rule if the tables were turned.

So, take the bull by the horns and get it done NOW.

Heaven help us if/when the Democraps finally find a clean and articulate rising star to run against him.
