I am all for cutting taxes. But that bill was not a straight tax cut. It picked winners and losers. It didn’t cut taxes for everyone. In case you were not paying attention, both McConnell and Ryan had to walk back their “tax cuts for all” statements. Moreover, billion dollar corporations made out like bandits, while taxes for many middle class families go up, not down. The loss of SALT was the most contentious, and the GOP insisted it be retained. Why? They needed our money to offset the MASSIVE corporate tax breaks. The $10k “compromise” does not help much, because by Cohen’s and Brady’s own admission, 94% of people won’t have enough deductions to itemize.

“Yep. We are right back to trying to vote for the “lesser of two evils” again.”

Assumed infinitive “to vote”

>>No, he put the military plan ahead of the Omnibus goodies added. He said this won’t happen again. I believe him.

You, sir, are a fool if you believe that.

Conservatives rail on idiot liberals who worship Bill Clinton and Barak Obama, yet some do the same with Trump (and others). Unfailing faith in any politician is beyond wrong.

>>But, he needs more conservatives in Congress to get the rest of his agenda passed.

You can’t unilaterally blame Congress. They didn’t have the votes for a veto. Trump owns this bill, regardless of what he’s done in his term so far.

He got played like a bull fiddle and even now doesn’t seem to know it.

What I find laughable is that any supposed supporter of President Trump could be concerned about this 6 month spending bill, when there's an attempted coup going on which might very well require the use of our military.

The #NeverTrump crowd really shows their colors in circumstances like this.

Talk about a total lack of perspective as to what's really going on in this country! Anyone who claims that the President has lost their support—against the backdrop of s Deep State coup—was never a true supporter of President Trump in the first place.

So to any and all such "Deplorables", I say: "step off", because the movement is better off without lukewarm sunshine patriots who think b-tching about a 6-month spending bill amounts to a hill of beans compared to the history which is actually happening right now.

The armchair quarterbacks and second-guessers simply are oblivious as to what's really important.

As I said yesterday, I'd be happy to see the President sign a 6-month bill that was 10 times larger, if it meant that the Coup would ultimately fail.

Indeed, I'm quite confident that the President signing this piece of crap bill has a whole lot to do with fighting the Coup which is ongoin—and which the resolution of is still in doubt.

The #NverTrump crowd—that is, those who fail to understand what really matters at this moment in history—needs to at least try to play 1D chess, and give the President the benefit of the doubt for signing this 6 month spending bill.

The President has earned our loyalty and trust a dozen times over in the last 2 years, and anyone who is wiling to withdraw their support while a coup is in progress—just because he signed a 6-month spending bill that causes them butthurt—is utterly detached from objective reality. We'reat war, and the President obviously made the calculation that the military funding outweighed the negatives in this bill.

And I definitely trust President Trump a thousand times more than the knee-jerk cynics who come out of the woodwork every time something disrupts their shallow, oversimplified reality...
