“McNamara, not Morrison”

McNamara played the triangle for the Doors - little known fact.

I only like and listen to often by choice “Under the Bridge.” Love that song about heroin and LA and the dark choices Anthony “used to” (not buying the tense tho) make.

I stopped paying attention to pop music in 1989. That’s the year Rush first aired on KFI.

No Problem! I remember the first time I heard them on the local alternative station. I thought "WOW - What is THIS!". Since then I've seen them in concert 4 times.

RHCP suffered a fair amount of overplay and so there aren’t too many of their better-known songs that I care to hear anymore, but there are some great ones that didn’t get played to death. For instance, “Wet Sand.” Try that one.

True. Not remembering Wet Sand but will give it a listen. Even overplayed, what I love about them is the aura they give off. A non singing major lead singer. It works. Weird.

“Keith Richards gave us the cokin’, coconut-conkin’ incident.”

He didn’t see the “No snorting in the trees” sign.

2 of my favorites Poker & Nightrider. I do like the studio versions better than the live one here.

Two great songs featuring the late Kelly Groucutt.

I absolutely love this one, "One Summer Dream". I thought this song would have been perfect for Jeff's fellow Traveling Willbury, Roy Orbison, to cover.

Look for the YouTube video in high definition with the “Stadium Arcadium” album cover art, the one with all the views has a stupid cheesecake video that absolutely does not work with the song.

And, since the geezerplex (lol) has taken over this thread on 90’s music with all the 70’s reminiscing, here's something from 1973 that's really awesome but I'll bet you've never heard it before, well, not this version at least.

... especially rap or hiphop or whatever it is called these days....

Rap and hip hop are not music.

“Just a Girl” by No Doubt. I’ve been in love with Gwen Stefani ever since. It plays regularly on Pop Rocks Channel 17 Sirius/XM.

Jim Morrison’s dad also gave us Jim Morrison, can’t blame that on McNamara
