The WTO is half the problem, it allows all sorts of games to be played with a VAT,
the favorite thieving mechanism of the EU, while coming down hard on other approaches to fighting dumping and other manipulations of the market.
Face facts, if France or Germany either one believed in free markets and free trade there would be no EU. Like the EU, the WTO exists to keep nations from looking out for their own national best interests rather than kneeling in obedience before the Globalists in charge.
