“1,100 pounds of human waste”
I’m guessing that the new guy had to fill out that report.
The Santa Ana channel has a series of sand berms to catch the runoff and let it sink in.
No car chases there.

Your serve.
Yeah, I don’t get it. You’re saying that bedbugs are everywhere anyway? Um...ok. Still ain’t staying in those hotels. Maybe they’ll have hepatitis then.
Over 1,500 available shelter beds existed when this process started - the judge randomly decided that he could make brand new law and insist that hotels ALSO be offered as ‘some may not approve of the requirements of the shelters’ such as remaining drug free, meeting curfew times, not having friends over, etc.
Mind you, these shelter beds have been specifically kept empty to ensure that every single one of these damn rat thieves would have a taxpayer place to still call ‘home.’ That means hundreds of other homeless have been told ‘no room for you’ for months now as this has dragged out.
And hundred a day, hahahah. Try a sweet $150 per day per voucher for the hotels (not paid for in ‘actual’ cash, but instead paid for in occupancy tax waivers...) The hotels get to keep that money even if the new guests decide to take off, and all damages will be paid for by the county.
Bonus cash time: Dialysis patients have been told that they should make 4 hours before and 4 hours after their treatment times available for transportation, as it is assumed that JUST this group of people will result in a doubling of insurance provided transportation in the county. In some cases, that’ll be an extra hundred dollars a day just to transport them around to their various appointments (come on, can't have them use COMMON transport like a bus, right?)
And each will end up with the equivalent of $8,900 in the first year's insurance cost. Yep, that's some real money there, and little of that comes out of the pocket of OC taxpayers, that's all the rest of us paying for it.
What they should have done is put a line of officers at each end, and send one line through getting and checking IDs, taking in everyone who has an outstanding warrant, and giving everyone citations for unlawful camping. And repeated it once a week at random times. Those camps which are abandoned are cleaned up immediately, would have cost a fraction of what this fiasco will eventually cost, as you know in 30 days they're going to want new vouchers...
I still love that the apparent overhead on giving away $500 a month to 100 families will cost nearly $400,000 in overhead, advertising and administration.

Yeah, I guess I was thinking of the Los Angeles River, which is a huge concrete ditch hundreds or yards wide.
If observing leftists in action didn’t carry such dire consequences because they constantly foist their stupidity on the rest of us, I swear you could indeed sell tickets for people to observe and laugh at them!
We recently started watching the ‘80’s TV detective series “Hunter” on youtube. One episode had a car flying over the LA river. :)
Good show, actually. The bad guys never win.
Thank you. I have signed up for a Imgur account.
Jerry Brown inherited many acres of land. He had the taxpayers pay for oil exploration on the land. None found. Great site for the homeless.
You would think Jerry Brown and the democrats would be embarrassed to have 732 homeless people (thousands more in the state) living in the dirt. But no they can vote for the democrat party. Someone will sigh them up and someone else will vote for them.
#51 Several other neat videos at the site.
