I am not very knowledgeable concerning guns, but should armed security people have better, bigger guns? If they have a hand gun while the perp has a semi automatic, and there may be more than one perp at a time, maybe they are outgunned. I've seen pictures of teachers in Israel with big guns over their shoulders.
