There is a report that the actual hacking to bring the drone down was by a Chinese cyber unit. Makes more sense than the Iranians doing it. Also the Iranian drone only resembles the original - nothing inside were they able to duplicate - the Chinese, however ...
They are now being mass produced in Iran and one was used to attack a Russian air field in Syria, with the usual consequences for the crew that launched the attack.
Iran is now threatening to mass attack US forces in Syria with the drones - “unleash Hell” as they put it. I know that people are working on countermeasures, but I don’t know if any of they work or have been deployed.

We have been reluctant to widen the war by punishing Iran directly. That will have to change soon if they continue down that road. They seem to think they can kill our soldiers in Iraq and attack our forces in Syria, and now, enter Israel, and that all they will face is attacks on their surrogates. They need to lose a few buildings or facilities when they do this crap. They should have faces consequenxces after Lebanon in 1983 and during the Iraq war in 2004-5.
