The ACLU stands ready to protect these communitiesOh yes, the ACLU is Johnny on the spot when it comes supporting lawlessness.
President Trump was magnificent with his SOTU address last night though the democrats looked to be under the weather.
May have been something they ate, crow maybe?

Rush talking about this now.
Obie said “I” more than Trump said “America” and nobody was concerned.

The American Civil Liberties Union -- note the word "American" in its title -- complained Tuesday night about President Trump's repeated use of the word "America" in his State of the Union speech. Perhaps they should rename themselves the Anti-American Civil Liberties Union...

80 times? That is still fewer than Obama’s 98 I-I-I-I’s in his first SOTU.

I hate to say it, but the ACLU has a point here. I watched the speech. Trump used the word 'America' over and over again. But he didn't mention my favorite country, the Duchy of Grand Fenwick, even once!
I'm beginning to suspect that Trump is a Fenwick-phobe.

Many years ago after I grew up a bit & embraced conservatism I started arguing on the ACLU forums early in 43’s administration. Their forums are gone now—too many people were speaking honestly about why they were pushing a progressive agenda that promotes globalism.
The ACLU has a very long socialist history & their belief system is antithetical to our Constitution. That they would be complaining like this doesn’t surprise me at all.
It’s just another sign that President Trump’s SOTU speech was correct on all points, IMO.

Now contrast that depiction with ACLU founder Roger Baldwin's candid vision: I am for socialism, disarmament, and, ultimately, for abolishing the state itself... I seek the social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class, and the sole control of those who produce wealth. Communism is the goal. Res ipsa Loquitur.

I was expecting the asinine complaint that America is not a proper name for the USA and that everyone in North and South America are “Americans.” That, of course, overlooks the fact that the USA is the only nation that has America as part of its name, and the fact that the name America and Americans has been accepted by the world as a designation for citizens of the USA almost since its inception.
