What a miserable selection ... Cornyn, Thune, Romney. Romney would probably be the worst, setting himself up like a super-McCain to be a poisonous thorn in the President’s side.

Who tells this clown that there’s a great reservoir of “Romney Enthusiasm” out there waiting to be tapped?
Is he trying to fulfil the “White Horse Prophecy” I find that too ridiculous to take seriously. (Maybe he is!)If you actually read what Joseph Smith actually said (If reported accurately!) and consider the context of the times, he’s clearly talking about the looming crisis of national disunion.

He’d be better off standing on a street corner in Mehico selling “Bitch Mittens”

The RINOs, GOP-e, Deep State have played this game before. How do you think the leadership is what it is now?
To: rrrod
Thune turned out to big a big RINO disappointment. No more RINOs.
To: cotton1706
This is not a great idea. I sincerely hope Mitt doesn’t try to take the party back in the wrong direction.
To: rrrod
Thune would not be the most conservative, but he seems to be the best realistic alternative to Cornyn. Cotton would be better, but he's only in his first term.
Myth wouldn't even be qualified to lead the Senate Mormon Caucus.

We think McConnell is a spectacular milquetoast panty-waist. Mitt would be worse. (Of course, his panties will be magical.)
To: cotton1706
The guy is a Grade A dirtbag with all the appeal of soggy cornflakes. We may not be able to keep him out of the Senate but I’m sure going to donate to any other Republican candidates.

Myth Romney has bigger plans, I’ll bet it includes Jeb and a motel room with ladies underwear.

Just a carpetbagging POS. I would think that since he is the former governor of Massachusetts it's a bit of a stretch to accept that he is qualified to represent Utah. So what if he is a Mormon and may own property there.
The designated loser of the 2012 presidential election needs to stay home and write whiny books.

Bill Frist (R-TN) became majority leader during his second term at about the 8 year point and served for 4 years.
This was after the buffoonish, Trent Lott, stumbled over his tongue in his effervescent praise of Strom Thurmond and decided to leave for the money on K-Street.

Romney reminds me of that character “Big Daddy” in that great Tennessee Williams play, “Dog on a Hot Car Roof”. Seamus was a good dog.
