The General Motors Company (their official post-bailout name) used to emphasize something called the "Voice of the Customer" in it's product development 'philosophy' but I don't see how this is the result of them actually hearing and listening to it.

No steering wheel, no pedals, no conventional dash cluster, no US-sized form factor, no sale.

Cool, a DUI proof car. Just sit in the passenger seat and say you were not the driver. Just a passenger

The car is speeding. A cop chases it. It refuses to pull over - how would it know to pull over? Perhaps it finally stopped. Who gets the ticket?

In an autonomous car, can you have open liquor?

The car is used in abank robbery. Who drives the get-away car?

I am NOT looking forward to standing in line with a bunch of Bolts at the DPS to renew my driver’s license. (Some of the dolts that are there now are bad enough)

Who will be responsible when one of these self driving cars runs into a school bus?

I am not looking forward to having to deal with these things while I’m on a motorcycle. Cars WITH drivers are hazardous to my health as it is- I can only imagine how horrible things will become with driverless cars.

And don’t bother lecturing me about how wonderful all the sensors and other technology is, and how ‘safe’ it will be - electronic sensors and servo-motors fail all the time. I don’t think anyone has the right to require us to put our lives in the ‘hands’ of a bunch of brainless electronic devices. Remember, when you drill down deeply enough, computers and computer-controlled devices only know what human programmers tell them they know

I am looking forward to self-driving cars, and I am glad they will be there for me in my old age.

But I am not getting into them for a ride until thousands of others have tested them, and won’t buy one until hundreds of thousands of other have bought them.

The technology must be pretty good, if they plan to sell these next year.

Nascar issued a statement that rumours they would transition to Bolt EVs for all race circuits are unfounded.

Idiocracy on parade. This has zero to do with “self driving cars” and everything to do with absolute control of the population

.
These kinds of looney products need to be prohibited immediately!

They can only degrade an already bad situation with sleepy drivers. All we need is a whole fleet of automatic road boulders!

One problem with self driving cars is that they will likely obey the speed limit, not good if you’re in a hurry to get somewhere........LOL!
