Here’s an interesting question: what would happen if we woke up one day, turned on the TV or checked FR, and found that they had indeed “contained” President Trump for mental evaluation? What would our reaction be?

Don’t know what the collective reaction would be, but I know mine.

I’d instantly realize that the fight is over and lost. The “they” that contained Trump would NOT be acting out of any concern of his mental health, but rather to advance (significantly!) their globullist and anti-American agenda.

Thanks for asking that, because it is a good exercise, even if remote (today at least) possibility, to think about... and to help renew, if needed, the zeal for the cause - American liberty, as this experiment was intended.

PSychiatry is not a science; it does not respond to deductive logic. It is not like physics, chemistry, math, biology, etc. It is not a science therefore she has no basis for making the allegations she makes.

Psychiatry and psychology are opinions and based on more opinions and yet more opinions. I do understand those who “practice” the best and most profound sounding allegations seem most learned....but neither soft professional sphere is a science.

And she is alleging all kinds of things without ever talking directly with the subject of her allegations. I am astounded people actually listen to her.

I’m not certain it is still true today, but in the early ‘60s when I was in college we used a textbook in either Psychology or Sociology that listed suicide rates by occupation. Psychiatry was at the top of the list.

Well, that’s just another name for those who supposedly treat people with mental problems and if they find none they squeeze their heads until they do find something. Years ago I worked for a hospital and a DOCTOR called psychiatrists that word and it stuck.........;)

Well said. And the attempts of the profession to reduce diagnoses to a checklist of symptoms (i.e., DSM-IV or V) have created an entire industry of s#it-spewing idiots claiming to be clinical psychologists of one ilk or another.

I know there are some who help; but I do not think it is the majority.

If you choose to go ahead, do not pester them with your political opinions. It is a narrow fact question about the standard that the Board upholds for diagnosis and advocacy of confinement against a person’s will. Do her public utterances and her book comply with the relevant standard of care, or not?
