Given that Disney is a solidly "pervert-friendly" outfit perhaps guests should hang a sign on the door that says "LBGTQs Frolicking,Do Not Enter".

Housekeeping would be ordered not to dare entering with such a sign.

>>>NO WAY would I EVER stay in a hotel when someone could just walk in my room unannounced and catch me doing something nobody has any business intruding on<<<

As far as I know, they aren’t removing the extra lock(s) that you use when you are inside the Room.

They are just checking the Rooms on a daily basis so there isn’t another Las Vegas Shooter situation where the Room became a Gun Safe while the Perp assembled his Arsenal.

Smart people rent a vacation home, every time i visit Orlando i rent one through VRBO.
Fully stocked kitchen, you’re own pool, even a jacuzzi.
And privacy.
And usually far cheaper too.

If it’s a Disney property you will have people queuing up at the door wanting in!

Disney should have a ‘maid buzzer’... a bell with a distinctive sound that announces a person will be entering the room within 30 seconds to 5 minutes....

Disney World is almost 40 square miles of mostly swamp, there are more than 1.6 million alligators in Florida and Disney takes their removal seriously. Just days before that poor boy was taken Disney removed six alligators from the park.

In addition, alligator attacks on humans are quite rare, there have been only six fatal alligator attacks in America this decade, including Lane Graves. What happened at Disney World was a tragic accident, not at all worthy of a corporation-destroying lawsuit.

And finally, it was the boy’s parents who made the decision not to sue. The parents who were there and witnessed the attack and even went into the water to try to save their son. If they make the decision to not pursue a lawsuit, who are YOU to think they were wrong?

...but will not stop staff from coming in

Could backfire on Disney.

Imagine all the lawsuits that guests could bring from invasion of privacy instances.

“We’ve lived an hour and a half from Disneyworld for over 15 years. Never been there and have no plans to.”

A very wise decision. Wish I was so fortunate. Seriously, a few years ago I brought up google earth and looked at the Magic Kingdom from the air. It was apparent the inside of the park was a sham, like a movie set where workers could park right behind Main St. buildings and had plenty of open areas to take breaks away from the crowds. My reaction was flashbacks and anxiety. Like an escaped POW looking at a photo of his prison camp from above. Some parents call it Mousewitz.

I am in the Disney Vacation Club and we stay at Disney Resorts frequently.

I don’t see any problems with this at all, the three resorts effected overlook the Magic Kingdom entrance. Someone with a sniper rifle (specially in the Bay Lake Tower that overlooks the park) could take out a whole lot of folks without anyone knowing where the shots were coming from.

This doesn’t mean they won’t knock first. It means they want to see in the room every day. For the folks not staying DVC, this happens every day. And, in the last letter we got from them, we’ll start having a visit every day also.

That’s the way hotels work.

So, if you are enjoy some sex with your wife and housekeeping came in, who’ll be embarrassed? Stupid move...the Contemporary Hotel is not contemporary today. We stay off Disney...(but we haven’t been there in years!)

I am sure nobody is capable of making their own signs.
