“Yeah, but the article says “Romans”.”
The article is in error.
The Maccabbees defeated the Seleucid empire, the Seleucids being one of the four Greek generals who divided up Alexander the Great’s empire upon his death.
The ark was already missing before the 2nd Temple was built.
I know nothing about these things. But does something need the approval of US Jews for it to be “official.”
The US was a paradise inhabited by Indians who cried at litter at the time the Temple was destroyed.
Not being sarcastic, but...
You can’t think of anything? How about Satan standing where he shouldn’t be claiming to be Jesus? That’s kinda important thing to happen before His return.
Nope... The anti-Christ rules for 7 years. While Christians may be able to identify the anti-Christ and see him arrive on the scene before the rapture takes place, scripture doesn't actually say that this will occur. The beginning of the rule of the anti-Christ is essentially coincidental in timing to the rapture. On the other hand, one can assume that a temple has to be readied beforehand if the anti-Christ is to immediately go there so that is one thing that perhaps still needs to occur..... however, rumour has it that the components for the temple are already built and are in a warehouse and just need to be assembled. Therefore, it may actually take very little time for it to be built.
sorry, Jesus shortened the rule of the Anit-Christ to five months, and there is no Rapture, and that’s why so many are going to be deceived.
Not a question of ‘US Jews’. The acknowledged leaders of Torah Jewry everywhere determine the realities of sacrifices and everything connected with the Temple.
These heads of the great traditional Jewish education units are part of Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah, headed in America by Rabbi Yaakov Perlow. These yeshiva heads in Israel and America, the two most important communities, have unparalleled influence in the Torah world that would determine everything connected with the Temple, and such decisions need be near-unanimous among them.
Thanks.
I don’t think it was illegitimate... at least I’ve never seen that argued. But it was missing five things that the first Temple had:
“According to the Babylonian Talmud (Yoma 22b), the Second Temple lacked five things which had been in Solomon’s Temple, namely, the Ark, the sacred fire, the Shekinah, the Holy Spirit, and the Urim and Thummim.”
