I make the same point over and over.....you don't get to be a self-made billionaire the "old fashioned way" (aka not like Jobs, Gates, Bezos and similar techies) by being stupid.
It’s obvious you misinterpreted my earlier comments and the inclusion of the image from the movie THE STING.
I didn’t say Mueller was a good guy or bad guy. Only that it was too early to tell who was a bad guy or good guy, amongst the plethora of characters involved in this mess.
I would appreciate it if you quit trying to put words in my mouth I didn’t say.
Thanks for clarifying that. And every day when I review what was learned, I still hold out hope that Mueller is actually done charging Trump people and is now working on arresting some democrats, but there’s just no evidence of it. So those that have insisted that is what Mueller is doing, despite all the evidence to the contrary, are deserving of harsh questioning. And those folks do exist, so I’m glad to hear you’re not one of them, at least I hope not as that takes away from what Trump himself has said. Thanks again!
We’ll have a nice feeling when we find out that we were right and vindicated in our faith in our president. The rest will just have to learn to do better the next time.
“Please save the ridicule - you all arent going to change my thinking. I just believe that Donald Trump is a little smarter than folks are giving him credit.”
There are a lot of us who agree with you that the President knows what he’s doing, and wouldn’t let things stand, unless it was working to his advantage.
Unfortunately, as sure as the sun rises in the east, you will be ridiculed here for saying what you said, and even for things you did not say.
I remember a time when there was much more camaraderie on the part of the vast majority of FReepers - as we were all on the same page . . . of course, disdain for Bill Clinton was a uniting factor.
Today I’m not even certain that we have as many ‘conservatives’ as we did back then.
“...disdain for Bill Clinton was a uniting factor.”
True, but really, I don’t mind that there are differing opinions on FR - I like a healthy debate. What bothers me is - as you said - the lack of comeraderie. The arguments don’t seem as reasoned or as civil.
In particular, there seem to be a couple FReepers who patrol the threads looking for any kind word about Jeff Sessions, so they can pounce on it and try to shame whoever said it. They also pounce on anyone who thinks Trump has gotten the upper hand with Mueller.
The attempt at shaming is so childish and unpleasant that it has actually driven away some of my favorate FReepers.
