What if Taylor Swift sang country instead of pop?

Wonderful cover - but I believe TS was (or is) considered a country artist, at least at one time, no?
Ryan (Not Bryan ) Adams redid her whole 1989 album. It is really great, sounds like early 80 Bruce Springsteen singing her music. He also makes great use of tone and timing. Worth a listen.
P.S. I told my wife I actually fully intend to use a line from one of her songs in conversation one day (”When you live like that, you live with ghosts”, great line, I deal with some sleazy people on occasion and I know I can use that). I just have to wait long enough so I don’t say that and have someone laugh at me for quoting Taylor Swift songs.
Because she is a professional who knows that offending half (sadly leftscum are about half of our population) is bad for business. But as seen in other posts including pics above, she is one of us. Now I dont agree with all of her stances, but the perfect is the enemy of the good. And she is good.

Lovely music, by the way. Thanks!

When you live like that, you live with ghosts

That is a good line, indeed. Fits in some circumstances well. Though I suppose we all live with “ghosts” to some extent.
I was one of her first fans all the way back in 2006 and have been with her the whole way.
Red started the transition to pop and 1989 sealed it.
The more I listen to Reputation the more I like it.

I believe the one with the MAGA cap is a photoshop. But it’s a nice one!
Taylor Swift is an alumnus of the FFA, the greatest
youth leadership organization in the world. I would
not expect Taylor to be a flaming libtard.
I’m familiar with her notoriety, but not Swift’s lyrics. I found that piece confused or, at least, the lyrics don’t make any sense to me. Don’t know how to to accurately describe my impressions: inside-out maybe?
I’ll listen to it now; always liked Allison Krause...

Lol. Maybe you should snag a job for some alphabet fake news outlet? Joking, but that is the kind of junk they toss out. Well played.
“Yes, Taylor started off as a Country Singer.”

I think of it more as “Contemporary Country”, as it’s quite different from old school “Country Western” music. I see it more in the vein of pop-top 40 music of the seventies(which is a good thing in my book).
This is why the vast majority of entertainers are liberal. Few who aren’t liberals will survive in the industry. The system selects for liberals.
“Nothing will ever be as good as Wildest Dreams though.”

My only beef about that song is the dang drum machine - either mix way,way down or dump it completely.
Post 35.
I think she wrote “Red” when a famous guy dumped her. She was very young, I thought, to write it.
Another song she wrote reminded of when I was 17 and broke up with my first boyfriend. She wrote that one when she was about 19.
“So I’ll watch your life in pictures like I used to watch you sleep
And I feel you forget me like I used to feel you breathe
And I keep up with our old friends just to ask them how you are
Hope it’s nice where you are”
So the lyrics are somewhat sophomoric to a degree, but still good songs for a songwriter her age. (When she wrote them.)
I only listen to about three of her songs, so I’m no Taylor Swift expert though. And everything I listen to is 7 or 8 years old. Her newer stuff doesn’t appeal to me.
