The point is that Strzok had something much more definite in mind (the fake dossier or some version of it), something that he thought could really knock out any possible Trump presidency. So, sure, its related to a hypothetical future investigation but my point is that Strzok aimed to guarantee the results of an investigation. The means to guarantee the end result, not the mere fact of an investigation, is what would qualify as insurance in the mind of someone like Strzok. Strzok was not in position to guarantee the election. He was in position to guarantee an aggressive Russia investigation. I really don't know what you wanted to see that would be more damning.

Only a small portion of the emails have been released. There were probably more texts that elaborated on the “insurance policy”. Those would be the most damning and we’ve seen none of them yet.

The Wall Street Journal reported that according to agents familiar with Strzoks account, he was referring to the Russia investigation when he mentioned insurance.I think if I was Strzok, Id want my money back if the best advice I got was THAT. The fact they didnt come up with anything better tells me that when the noose is tightening, good ideas dont come to one all that readily

This tells me the source of this story is not friendly to Strzok.

WSJ is too far off the “street” meaning of “insurance”. An alternative meaning of “insurance” is the mafia meaning of it. Something mccabe would know about. These are some mighty corrupt people.
Not too far-fetched when one looks at how MANY obstructions were being placed in the Constitutional path from President-Elect to January 20th Inauguration. The deep state had a hand in a WHOLE lot of crapola... to wit:
1.) Electoral College interference (threats to Electors, the turncoat Elector program, the Jill Stein/green commie legal challenges in states hitlery was to have “won”.
2.) 25th Amendment “claims” to be used before Inauguration.
3.) The Flynn elimination for one high office that was not subject to Congress approval.
The “russia” fiction is the long term “idiot’s guide” plan to keep alive a fraud... when it is clearly obvious that the democrats have been playing footsie with the Russians from Uranium 1 right through the Jill Stein machine and the clinton kickback schemes (ever since the “Reset” button).

The FBI took ridiculous and baseless opposition research from one presidential campaign and used it as a flimsy prop to gain a FISA warrant to spy on the other presidential campaign. Evidence is there to suggest that they were rejected by one FISA judge and had to go back to another, perhaps more favorable judge, later. Evidence is emerging that the FBI offered to pay the author $50K of the opposition research firm to help substantiate it.
Forget the texts for just a moment. What is laid out above is the formula for destroying our system of government. The institution of the FBI has been weaponized by one party against another. The IRS has already been proven to have been weaponized by one party against another. How many more institutions does it take before it collapses?

I think you may have that wrong. The first application for the FISA warrant was in July, no? It was rejected and they came back later in Sept or Oct and got it from a more favorable FISA judge, I think.

Well, I rather doubt that Strzok’s “insurance policy” was a rejected FISA warrant. Of course, his “insurance policy” couldn’t be a successful FISA warrant that hadn’t been issued yet. Logically, Strzok’s “insurance policy” wasn’t a FISA warrant.
