This is more bullsh*t by the perpetually offended side of our society.
My Freedom of Speech, whether to ‘call a spade a spade’, or, ‘to call a spade a shovel’, are both forms of expression which indicate that I have called a person, place or thing, by the most suitable name I could have based on my situation, education, moral values, life experiences, etc.
My Freedom of Speech allows me to do this without any reservation to the feelings or strained formalities that may result from its use. Yes, if I smell smoke and observe fire in a crowded theater, then I will cry ‘fire’. If I am mistaken, my bad.
So, if the offended can suppress our Freedom of Speech, we will no longer live in a free society but one someone else has chosen for us.
While matters like this are offensive to some, it is not my problem how the offended feel. It becomes my problem when they tell me how I should feel and what I should say. Then I have to decide whether to hide my opinions or defiantly ‘speak up’.
But remember the old saying: ‘the boss is always right’. It depends on which boss you serve. Is it going to be a government of mammon or the living GOD. But YOU have to decide for yourself thanks to a bad choice Adam and his sidekick Eve made for us a long time ago.
So decide...you f*ckers. May the force be with you. /s
