Considering the competition is the likes of Barbara Mikulski, this is hardly praise.
As a society, we should be thinking of politicians as generally pathetic little creatures, and afford them less than zero respect other than that we owe any other citizen. I’m very serious. Affording stature and celebrity status to those motivated to be career politicians guarantees that we will have more and more of these feckless and disgusting critters.
