No matter WHAT it was about the cake that was offensive to the bakers, they have a right to refuse the order.
Even if they're black bakers who don't like white frosting, or white bakers who don't like chocolate cake.
It's wrong to make a tradesman (much less an artisan) take an order he would rather not take, for whatever reason. We're talking about free enterprise here, not involuntary servitude.

The whole Civil Rights\’Public accommodation’ was merely another camel nose under the tent....and see where’s its gotten us. Rights vs. privileges
If, and only until, they signed on the dotted line do they have a case (contract). *NO* biz has the obligation to cater (excuse the pun) to any/all (POSSIBLE) clientele.
