If Conyers goes, so does Franken. Hard to see this not occurring. But Conyers sets a dangerous and good precedence wherein anyone paying settlement out of taxpayer funds resigns. Hopefully that will occur to many, many others. With 260+ settlements totaling over $17 million, that means a significant number of elected members of congress are at risk of being called on to quit. Fantastic opportunity, even for Pelosi, to get rid of a large number of fellow colleagues.
If they release that secret list,a lot more congressmen will be “retiring”......
There are other cover-ups which have taken place over the years involving Conyers.
It has been decades, but I remember a double homicide on Detroit’s south side, where 3-4 people were killed in a drug deal gone bad, outside of a notorious “Adult Night Club”.
While later covered up, at the time, it was learned Dingell, Conyers, and a couple other city counsel members jointly owned a chain of drug infested strip clubs throughout Detroit!

Conyers is most likely in the throes of dementia. Al Franken is demented in another way, but if someone needs to be thrown under the bus, medical condition is a kinder, gentler reason, plus saves him from those nasty old civil, ethics, and criminal procedures. Besides, Al’s repentant (GUFFAW!); Conyers isn’t. Not to mention, Conyers is part of the CBC, which is sacrosanct.
The biggest problem Conyers presents is not his sexual proclivities.
Instead, consider that the guy is so addlepated that he can’t remember that you don’t have meetings in your underpants, and you wear something a bit more formal than panamas to political events.
Until this week, everyone in Congress, including staffers, was ok with this demented guy leading the Judiciary Committee for the Democrats.
Yesterday he was an icon who needed to finish out his term.

The guy, literally, hasn’t the brain power to put his pants on, and until right now, everyone in Congress felt that is OK.
How the hell does he read and comprehend a bill, let alone formulate an opinion regarding how he should vote?
So... Who does get to tell him how to vote? Who holds his proxy?
And if someone as befuddled as him can be the ranking member of a Congressional committee, is there any reason that Ted Kennedy had to lose his office, just because he is dead? Couldn’t the staffers just do everything, and George Soros hold his proxy?
Talk about having to drain the swamp!
Wonder how many years the old coot has had dementia? I’d dearly love to know who has their Alzheimer’s medication delivered to the Congress (other than Conyers). What a snake pit!

Going after Conyers but not Franken looks like racism. Ask Colin Kapernick (of San Francisco) what he thinks of Pelosi. Turn the tables. Go on offense.
