A guy who MAY have behaved badly almost 4 decades ago, based on, to say the least, flimsy evidence, compared to some shyster who defended a White supremacist. Oh my, what a difficult decision! /extreme sarcasm

I’ve been waiting for the push back on Jones; it certainly won’t come from the national Republicans.

Does Mitt Romney or John McCain have a comment to make regarding Jones fitness for the august senatorial body? Didnt think so.

Why is this a surprise since the rat party owns the KKK?

Still have the 64, I’m the 5th owner, bought it 25 yrs ago in NY, the Friday after Thanksgiving I would be in the garage prepping it for the winter “hibernation”, removing the battery, putting it up on jackstands and removing the tires where it would sit until around St Pat’s Day when the weather starts getting nicer. Been in FL for a few years now and it still feels a little strange cruising with the top down during the winter months :)

Speaking of cars and Mittens, he has some 'splainin' to do concerning his family's possible flirtations with "racist attitudes" back in 1957

Considered to be an early muscle car, it came out while his father George Romney ran the show at AMC. Perhaps Mitt should shamelessly capitulate and issue some
mea culpas on behalf of his Dad.

There are white supremacists in Alabama?
Who knew? and when did all this happen?
Is Doug Jones, in fact, a secret KKK sympathizer, who only puts on a show trial for public consumption, while maintaining undercover contact with high and influential members of the KKK? And that this was only a legalistic way to get rid of some non-conforming KKK dissidents and trouble makers within the ranks?
Not unheard of. Democrats do this to their own, as regards Senator Robert Torricelli or or Representative James A. Traficant, Jr. Both were shunned and eventually either forced off the ballot or driven out of their respective chambers. Not necessarily because they were criminal, but because they were not criminal in the way the Democrats have come to expect of their members.

Personally, I don’t really have a problem with who he defended. Everyone, even the most vile, have the right to legal counsel. However, if it will discourage his supporters who don’t bother to think the issue though, then it should be given the widest circulation possible.

BINGO. The worst bigots I had the DISpleasure of knowing are those who call themselves liberal and have this obsession with virtue signaling. Worse than White supremacists and Holocaust deniers, at least those a**holes are honest about who they are. Instead of facing up to their own personal racist attitudes they need to project them on others. Guilt? Some holier than thou superiority complex? A need to ingratiate themselves with those they perceive to be oppressed in order to soothe their fragile egos? It's nothing new. I witnessed this mindset back in college. White student activists and other useful idiots putting on their schtick about how they were "in solidarity" with their brothers and sisters in the ghettoes, pretending to be "down for the struggle". I wish we had Androids back then so I could've recorded some of these phonies during a typical Saturday night of partying. When they brewskis flowed and the doobies passed around that's when these hypocrites let their, no pun intended TRUE COLORS show. In vino veritas indeed!

My Dad had a 59 Impala convertible with a 348. Nothing short of a Corvette or Chrysler 300 could beat it. I saw one similar to his on Barret Jackson a few months ago. 3 minutes into the bidding it sold for 105k. Dad paid about $3100 for his new, he would joke that in those days anyone who spent more than 3 grand on a Chevy could be declared legally insane :)

compared to some shyster who defended a White supremacist. Lawyers represent clients. It's what we do. The Constitution guarantees every criminal defendant a lawyer. My own personal views rarely coincide with those of my clients.

I’m sure the GOP will remain quiet. This race WAS missing some good old fashioned smearing.

True, but with the politics of personal destruction that’s legendary with the Dems, there are times that when in Rome....

The gentleman wasn’t on trial for his racist views or ties to the KIK. Jones represented Posey in 1987 amid allegations of illegal arms shipping to the Nicaraguan rebels fighting the socialist government at a time when such activity was prohibited as the U.S. was not officially at war with Nicaragua.
