Your position, if you had bothered to read Shapiro's article, is what Shapiro says is an "honest" position. Of course, he also describes it as disgusting.

I read Shapiro's article. Jesus was without sin, but even Jesus had enemies accusing Him of vile acts. Well, Jesus is not on the ballot, and we have to work with what we have.

Back when Clarence Thomas was being accused of vile things during his confirmation process, my reply to people then was "I don't think he did it, but wouldn't care if he had. All I care about is how he will vote on issues".
