Vatican II doesn’t legitimize sodomy. My understanding of it is that they reasoned that, since a priest was to be celibate anyway, then a man with homosexual desires could still be a priest since he would not be acting on his desires. Acting on one’s sexual desires, whether normal or homosexual, was still forbidden.

This is one of the greatest falsehoods about gay priests that exists. Straight men don't "turn gay" just because they can't get married. If a straight man becomes a priest, but then can't contain himself, he's not going to run out and have sex with a man or a boy - he's going to run out and have sex with a woman. The world is full of women. If a priest has sex with a man or molests a boy, it's because he's HOMOSEXUAL to begin with.

I am not saying this at all... I am stating when the church denies men from sex/marriage and allow gay men in large numbers, you will have the sex abuse that is wide spread in the Catholic Church. Many straight men stay out of the Priesthood for the obvious reasons. And this what I mean by coming out sideways. The church tries to stop something natural between a man and a woman and tragically attracts gays and child abuse.

Lots of gay men like Kevin Spacey fill the church. These guys are into pederasty.

There are plenty of normal men who would be happy to be dedicated priests, with the vow of celibacy and all. The reason the Church has attracted gay men is because they allowed gay men in in the first place. The previous policy was that if you admitted to having homosexual inclinations, you could not be a priest, regardless. If you ever engaged in homosexuality, you couldn't be a priest or you were booted out if you were already a priest. Once the Church decided that homosexuals could be priests, not only did they open the door for their seminaries to become gay havens, but they ended up making straight men reluctant to join, because what straight man wants to be in a seminary with queers sodomizing each other all around them?

In other words, if the Catholic Church hadn't allowed gay priests, there wouldn't be that many gay priests. The marriage question is irrelevant to the gay problem.

I believe Satan truly exists and is in full push right now...Priests, Popes, etc. are his favorite targets. I do not have much faith in our Pope either...but, the Catholic Church has survived other bad Popes and I believe will survive this one. Perhaps we shall see the Church survive even to the gates of hell as the Bible says...
