Reminds me of the old Russian joke.
An American and Russian were arguing.
The American said, “In my country I can say I don’t like the American President.”
The Russian retorted, “It’s the same in my country, I too, can say that I don’t like the American President.”

CV is like a “resume”, it means “curriculum Vitae”.
To: danamco
It's the brit term for a resume, usually more comprehensive than in the US. Things like her place of birth, schools, race, religion, fields of study, all the stuff you are not allowed to ask about, here in the Land of the Semi-Free.
A curriculum vitae (English: /kəˈrɪkjʊləm ˈviːtaɪ, -ˈwiːtaɪ, -ˈvaɪtiː/)[1][2] (often shortened CV or vita) is a written overview of a person's experience and other qualifications for a job opportunity.
