They saw Tim Tebow get all kinds of love and praise for kneeling and apparently think "OK, everyone will love us kneeling . . . The previous kneeling praise was for Tim Tebow being humble before God.

If Tebow had knelt during the anthem, I would have been offended too. The national anthem is not the time for any statement other than patriotism. If someone wants to make a statement during the anthem, they can do so, but (1) I will personally dismiss the point they are attempting to make, and (2) if they do it on the job and don't get fired, I will boycott their employer. Same rules for #BlackThugsMatter and for Tebow; the difference, as you say, is that Tebow had the humility to do it at an appropriate time.

I don’t know about you, but I am seeing a lot of empty seats.

Looks like the boycott is working.

Keep in mind many in the Seats are season ticket holders.

As a lifelong fan of the NFL and the Green Bay Packers, I have left and I won't be coming back. Unfortunately, I am quite pissed that my enjoyment has been polluted by politics, especially based upon a false assumption.

So I won't be going back. I've enjoyed spending more time on Sundays outdoors and/or with family.

I'm getting my football fix in on Saturdays - enjoying the heck out of college football- not the TFL - Thug Football League.

Blacks and whites brainwashed through the schools and Leftist set of churches have been naively manipulated by the long-term plan of Communist Party U.S.A. and its anarchist supporters and Muslim partners to bring down any and all Western institutions that provide the glue that holds the society together. This is just one more instance of the same.

"If all three go negative, then I would expect contract offers for spring/summer to decrease and players going negative about the stagnant pay scale. It’s their own fault, and some folks will have to figure out a 25-percent pay cut off this deal" Agree, good analysis btw. My guess is if the revenue stream does indeed go negative as you suggested the owners will continue to protect the salaries of their stars and marquee players. It's the rank and file, the big uglies, special team guys and such, who will have their compensation cut. If this should happen there may be players taking a knee but it will be about their own inequities this time, lol 😏...

The NFL has been fixing games for years.

Balderdash. Care to back that up?

Something I have never understood. If you aren’t black, why would you even care to watch NFL football?

Um, maybe because people who like professional sports don't care what skin color the athletes are?

You question is absurd...

Good luck with any contract negotiations players, as the market will be softening...

Bingo! Absolutely spot on.

This is going to be a self-correcting problem, because the team owners ultimately will not tolerate malcontent millionaire crybabies alienating the fans—and thereby costing their teams money.

Oh, the owners will have to be politically correct about it. None of them—except maybe Jerry Jones—are likely to fire a player for kneeling. Yes, each problematic player will be able to finish out his contract.

But—as Colin Kaepernick discovered—when these individual players' contracts do expire, they'll suddenly find out that nobody is interested in re-signing them.

One by one, each free agent will have to make it clear —through their agent, in most cases—that they have no intention of kneeling for the anthem next year, or making "black power" signs, and that they're very sorry for the "misunderstanding" with their beloved fans (who ultimately pay their salaries).

Why? Because money talks and bullsh-t walks.

I think you'll notice that none of these crybaby anthem-kneeling jerks will be getting traded either. After all, what owner would want to sign such a divisive individual—a poisonous distraction that can only disrupt team unity?

I'm amazed that so many players don't seem to have realized this obvious fact yet. They seem to think that Colin Kaepernick's case is some kind of exception—when in reality it is going to be the new rule.

The hilarious part is that many will be screaming bloody murder about "collusion", when it reality what will happening is the beautiful, glorious American free market in action.

Yes, the vaunted invisible hand will be issuing firm b-tch slaps all over the league. Eventually, the players will figure it out the new reality.

Many of these shortsighted, selfish, spoiled millionaire players have squandered their careers—not because of their phony, nebulous, mythical social causes, but rather because they tried to take cheap shots at their duly elected President, as well as the deplorable fan base that elected him.

I hope it was worth it, because they have been repudiated by We the People...
